🔒 Privacy Policy
Last Updated: February 18, 2026
The Xcode-Blue team (hereinafter referred to as "the Team") values your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This policy explains how our app handles your information.
1. Information Collection and Access
To provide accurate UV exposure tracking, our app requests access to the following data only after your explicit consent:
- Apple Health Data (HealthKit): We access "Sun Light Exposure" data measured by your Apple Watch.
- Location Information: We use your current location to fetch real-time "UV Index" data for your specific area.
- User Input: We collect your "Fitzpatrick Skin Type" to calculate your personal threshold for sunburn (Minimum Erythema Dose, MED).
2. Purpose of Use
- UV Exposure Tracking: We combine Light Exposure data with local UV Index data to calculate your cumulative daily UV intake.
- Risk Alerts: We provide real-time notifications when your UV exposure approaches the safety limit based on your skin type.
3. Data Storage and Protection (On-Device Only)
- No Server Storage: We do NOT operate any external servers. All data is processed and stored locally on your device (iPhone/Apple Watch) using Apple's SwiftData framework.
- Data Deletion: Your data is tied to the app on your device. If you delete the app, all locally stored data will be permanently removed.
4. Location Data Usage
- Location data is used solely to retrieve the UV Index for your current vicinity. We do not track, record, or store your movement history.
5. Third-Party Sharing and Disclosure
- We never sell, rent, or share your health or location data with third-party advertisers or marketing firms. All data processing occurs strictly on-device.
6. User Rights and Controls
You can manage or revoke access to Health and Location permissions at any time through your iOS Settings.
